Weigel Happenings

The above pictures are from a couple weeks ago. Pete was at the gym when he pulled a neck muscle. He came home in quite a bit of pain. Jack was a big helper and got the ice pack and medicine for Pete. Realizing Pete wasn't being his normal super strong and indestructible daddy self, Jack started projecting Pete's pain onto his bear, Boz. He found a shirt and rumpled it up under Boz's neck. He started asking Boz if he was ok and telling Boz that he was all fine. I asked if Boz needed an ice pack too, and the answer was one for Boz and one for Jack. So that afternoon everyone needed an ice pack.

Other Jack things:
Pete took Jack outside with him as Tigran used the bathroom, and Jack started running away from Pete down the sidewalk. Pete called out to him: Where are you going?
Jack replied: It's ok daddy. I just going to the gas station to get some gas. I be right back.

We started showing Jack that he could do a lot of things for himself, and this has sparked the - I got it phase. This, I believe, led to the watch me phase.

It used to be that Jack would say something like- that was super fun daddy. Then Pete would repeat it- Was that super fun Jack or Jack that was super fun. Now when we do this Jack looks at us and says- I know I just said that.

Pete news:
Poor Pete has to deal with a sleepy, grumpy, hungry, and moody wife while dealing with a two-year old, and studying for his Advanced Topics! I must say he is doing a fabulous job even though it is a bit much at times. He takes Jack to the park where they throw rocks, Wal-Mart to look at the toys that make noise and light up, Home Depot to sit on the lawnmowers and check out the tools.

His Advanced Topics are August 21st! We are excited to have the date finally set.

Becky stuff;
Not a ton. Just normal first trimester stuff- I think all of it minus the throwing up. Had my first appt. with the nurse practitioner and just did the basic stuff. I go back in a couple weeks to see the doctor and that appt. should be much more interesting. I'll keep you updated.
