Oh those things you say

Jack has started reminding me of things to tell Pete when I call him during the day. Example-- we were at aerobics and Jack went out the side door and couldn't get back in. I call Pete to tell him this and Jack starts saying from the backseat:needed blankie. Crying. Play with swords with boys.

He is learning to spell--sort of. We have been drilling dog, cat, Jack, Boz, and go into his head. He has dog and Boz down. The others he will get if you give him the first letter. He recognizes all of them when he sees them in books. I say-- pretty darn good ol' Jacko!

He is starting to correct you if you incorrectly retell a story. Pete was talking about how they read Go Dog GO and there is a picture of three dogs splashing. Jack told him they were splashing like Tigran does. However, when Pete told the story the next day he omitted the word does. Jack quickly corrected him.

He wants so badly to play with the older boys-- luckily most days they acknowledge him at least for a little bit. This makes his day.

He knows his left from his right. This means he can put his shoes on the correct feet- he does a better job than I do. He also can tell us what direction to go. Today he wanted to go the the fountains but we had to go home. Going home means turning right. He saw what I was doing and he goes :no turn left. fountain.

He does crunches better than me I think. He likes to show his muscles- :)

He gives kisses now. They are so cute- he likes to give them on the mouth. He also tells you where your kisses should go. He says:kiss cheek. kiss other cheek. kiss mouth.

We are having problems with you, your, my, mine. Since January we have been quite diligent about not saying things like:does Jack want the ball? We say- do you want the ball? So now he thinks all things pertaining to him are you or your. He thinks all thing pertaining to me are my and mine. I am now trying to use visual representations to show him. We shall see. I know he'll get it, I would prefer sooner rather than later.

He has started saying he likes things so much or he loves them. I think it is too cute. There is a dog in our complex we call enemy dog because he and Tigran bark at each other. Jack is obsessed with this dog. He came inside the other day and said- love enemy dog so much. I bought him new swimming trunks and he goes-- like them so much!
