So I realized that it has been about a month since I last let you know what was going on with the wonderful Weigel's. We must remedy this- so here you go. Jack turned 7!!! I mean really, he just keeps getting older, what is that about? A few things about him-he loves to eat fish, he likes Pokemon, fighting his brothers in battles, playing chess, and being a great big brother.
Here is Meggie, which is what we normally call her these days. Why is that we always add ie or y sounds to names? Anyway, we had one of these big flower headbands and thought we would try it out- must say that I don't get it. It just looks really big. On a hair related topic- she still has all of hers. Maybe it won't fall out.
Jack's class was in charge of doing Stations of the Cross during the first Friday of Lent. They all had to dress up in biblical garb and the parents had to make the costume for their kid. Umm... I don't know how to sew or hem or anything- I mean honestly even my ironing skills are lacking( sticking things in the dryer is about as fancy as I get). So, this gave me a mini-heart attack because not only did Jack need this costume in a week but he was going to read two of the stations in front of the church/his school so it had to sorta look good. I went on you tube and found a no sew option that I even messed up because I took my sheet and folded it the wrong way so I had to 'fix' it with more cutting and not having any fabric glue I used no sew hem tape that I did have. It was passable. The head piece didn't really turn out great but luckily, the teacher had extras from last year. So he looked good. More importantly, he did a great job speaking and reading his stations. He speaks so clearly and his voice carries so well. He was so amazing.
These two brothers are super crazy and love it when they are able to wear matching clothes. In this case matching Germany jackets. They are called Germany jackets because we bought them in Germany. There have been a few days this month when they were able to go outside-this was one of them. They were excited-though Thomas looks like he might do some mischievous deed while outside.
All the boys LOVE Meg. They really just dote on her all the time. They are constantly kissing her, touching her, grabbing her hand, getting right in her face, and yelling 'Hi Meggie!' right when she falls asleep. I feel bad because, with Luke especially, I have to say stop touching her, you can't get that close, or no more kisses. They like to put all of their weight on her while they kiss her- she doesn't really enjoy it all that much. However, if you give her some space she loves watching them and she smiles at them all the time.
In this picture with Luke holding her- she was awake right before I grabbed the camera but by the time I took it she was asleep. haha.
As far as the parents of these lovely critters- We are still hoping to hear news about a job for Pete so anyone who wants to offer up prayers, positive thoughts, or good vibes we would appreciate it. He has decided to postpone his graduation until August so he can TA over the summer and get paid.
I started working out for the first time since learning I was pregnant with Meg- back in May. After a week I will say my muscles hurt and my lungs burn but I am glad to be back at it.
