so happy

Lately Jack has been telling us things that make him so happy. It is really sweet!! Here are some pictures of things that have made us so happy in the last week.

Knowing that even your toys have toys so they aren't scared of the dark makes us happy. Having your cars play on the computer with you is always fun! Playing/watching golf makes us all happy. Playing on the slip-n-slide is so much fun- until you walk on it and fall down.

Jack and Daddy petting sharks at the Indy Zoo is a little scary but so cool! Being able to go fishing with Granny and Pappy makes life a little sweeter, even when the only thing caught is Granny's shoe!

Other things that make us happy- spinning around and around and singing along with Raffi. These things make us so happy.

Big Baby

Jack: Mommy and I have baby
Me: What about daddy?
Jack: Daddy not have baby, daddy is a man.
Me: But you and I have a baby? Where is the baby?
Jack: In our tummies. (He points to his tummy and my tummy)
Me: What is the baby's name?
Jack: Big Baby

So until further notice our baby will be called- Big Baby. I have a couple ultrasound pictures of Big Baby at almost 12 weeks.

The placenta is still in the way, so my procedure will have to wait. I am not sure how long or when another ultrasound will be done because I haven't heard from the doctor yet. He was supposed to call yesterday or today but alas no call. I will call the nurse Monday.

Pete passed his Advanced Topics!!! Apparently it was quite grueling and they really gave him a shake down but after 2.5 hrs. -- he passed!! For his celebration we was able to eat anything he wanted for lunch, and he picked sushi. Apparently it is very good sushi. I ate some beef thing and Jack slept in my arms the whole time.

Jack chowing down on watermelon. He made a huge mess but loved it.

This picture is for Granny, Pappy, Mimi, and Poppa

Jack made a hat out of a bowl. I think he looks quite stylish.

fix your hair

There have been some questions raised about my last entry. 1. No we did not take pictures. We thought about it after we were done. At the time the mess was so overwhelming we weren't even thinking about it. 2. How did this happen? Jack woke up before 7am, and I told him to go in his room to play for a few minutes. I was so sleepy that I fell back asleep without making sure he went into his room. I woke up about 30 minutes later and the disaster had already occurred. So that about sums it up.

In lighter Jack news: The other day we were going to go out, but I had not gotten dressed yet, so I said that I needed to fix my hair. Jack says: Oh, I will fix your hair mommy. I thought Jack would come back with a comb or a brush and he would fix my hair. He comes back with his wrench and proceeds to fix my hair. haha. Only with a boy I suppose.

Pete news: Pete is getting closer to his advanced topics. Only a couple of weeks to go. He is also changing offices to make room for the enormous group of first years coming into the program. Pete will be starting his third year!! Can you believe?? I can't.

Becky news: I had an ultrasound last week and saw the baby. I saw "his" heart beat and arms move which is always reassuring. They had to reschedule my surgery because the placenta was in a position that might cause a lot of bleeding. So I go back in a couple weeks to have another ultrasound to see if we can go ahead with the surgery at that point. They also pushed back my due date a little- kind of a bummer since I have been feeling so lousy.

chocolate sauce and then some

2.5 hours on hands and knees scrubbing every single inch of carpet in main part of apartment and don't forget every single piece of furniture we own!!! *still not quite finished need some heavy duty resolve to re-clean most furniture since cleaners we have did not do the trick.
1.5 hours Pete spent steam cleaning every single inch of carpet in apartment
1 hour spent cleaning toys, clothes, dishes, counters, food, and etc.
45 minutes spent cleaning son, mother, and father
1 gallon of milk, half a container of pretzels, leftover cheesecake, and 1 bottle of chocolate sauce-- gone.
Realizing you need to be a better parent-- priceless
