No pictures. I believe it is the USB cord. I will have to go somewhere and buy a new one. It is frustrating to have pictures you can't put on the computer.
More Jack-isms (if you will)
- Titi live in China now. Uncle Joe make Titi mad.
-Other daddy! Other daddy! Where are you? Other mommy! (Jack was looking for his little people toys and there is a mommy and a daddy. He has named them other mommy and other daddy).
- Upon my finding other daddy and other mommy Jack points to me and says- that mommy find other mommy!
- In the car after the park and on our way to pick up Pete, Jack is a little frustrated. I hear him saying - Jack listen? NO! Jack go pick up daddy? No! Jack go Wal-Mart? No!
As a wife, a mother of 5 kids, 1 dog, and 1 cat I am constantly amazed that we are all still alive, somewhat thriving, and not just eating out of the garbage or chasing our tails, so these are the stories that make up my life gone crazy.

Jack sayings and thoughts
Well first off either our camera or the usb cord to our camera is broken so I can't get my pictures onto my computer. Argh!!!!!!!!!!! Here is a picture my dad took of Jack in Henderson.
Here are some Jack sayings and thoughts
- He often says the word Titi and laughs uproariously. We asked who or where Titi was/lives. He then told us that Titi lives under the sun and in Korea.
-He told me that he wanted to talk to Uncle Luke in China. I asked him how he planned on doing this. He told me he would go to Granny's in Morehead and talk to Uncle Luke in China.
- He has an aunt who is pregnant. I told him that she was going to have a baby and he replied that his aunt was going to have a Jack.
- He had a poop that he didn't want me to change. I said," Well is it a big one or a small one?" He said," Big one." I repeated this and he looks and me and goes," No, small one." I repeated this and then he pauses looks at me and goes, " MEDIUM ONE!!!!!"
-He is learning how to rhyme. Pete asked him what rhymed with dog. They came up with some answers like log, frog, and fog. Pete said can you think of anymore? Jack replies-- OG!
-When things are broken he tells me that he needs the screwdriver so he can fix them.
-I was drinking wine and Jack said he wanted some wine. I told him when he was 7 he could have his first communion and then drink church wine. He then went and told his daddy that mommy was drinking church wine. ( I figured now wasn't the time to talk about transubstantiation)
- I am not so sure what to think about this one, but my son thinks all black people are Obama. With that out of the way here is my story. We bought a big box of diapers that had a little boy on it with a tricycle. Jack then decided he wanted a tricycle and wouldn't stop talking about it. We asked him why he wanted a tricycle and who had one that he knew. He looked at us and said Obama does! We then looked where he was looking, and the little boy on his diaper box is black and riding a tricycle.
2 is such a great age.

Hello Hendo
This weekend we went to Henderson. It was nice to visit with Grandpa, Aunt Mary, Aunt Jamie, and Uncle Will. Jack was pumped to have so much attention thrown his way. We went to the park and Jack mostly threw rocks in the river, this is his true obsession. Back at Grandpa's, he was very much enthralled with the fashlight and pink dancing lion. He played with the lion so much that the batteries were dead by the time we left. My dad has two cats and two dogs- I think it was decided by the time we left that Rex was his favorite, mostly because Rex let him kiss him, jump on him, and do pretty much anything to him. Last time we were there Jack colored Rex green, I think Rex wins.

Trip to UIUC
This is a snapshot of our weekend. Pete had a conference at UIUC this weekend so Jack and I went along for the ride. There was a little frog in front of the hotel so Jack filled the lilypad it was holding full of rocks. On our way to the hotel we got a little lost due to bad google map directions, but this did cause us to end up by a John Deere store, so Jack was pumped! There are a few pictures here of Jack on campus while we waited for Pete to finish. He is either climbing steps, being a tree-hugger, showing me pennies he found, dancing with his shadow, poking a banner with a stick, sitting by himself because he wanted to go to time-out and just rest, or he is playing the the chains. Then there are a couple from inside our hotel, which is where Jack and I spent most of our time, due in large part to all the basketball that was on. In these pictures he is sitting inside the bottom drawer of the dresser and hiding in his pillow fort we made. These are just some of the highlights of our weekend.

Fun Times
There isn't a whole lot to report on, but we have been having fun. I started going to aerobics, fairly regularly :), and Jack usually has a pretty good time. We go to our friend's church and "dance" in the gym. There are little kids who just run around everywhere and play with toys while the moms work up a sweat.
We've gone to the park a few times this week, the weather has been much nicer lately, and Jack has had a blast. I think Jack's favorite thing about all our park visits has been the collecting of rocks and sticks. Oh yes, this takes up the majority of our time. Pete taught him to find berries and either squish them with the stick or to step on them. Jack thinks this is awesome. Dad's are so much more fun and interesting.
Jack got a backpack because his friend Elsie has three, and Jack loves to wear her backpacks when we go visiting over there. Now he realizes that daddy also has a backpack so this had made the wearing of the backpack that much cooler. He tells me he is going to school too when he puts it on.
Then for his birthday, Granny got him a little piano. I don't know who is having more fun with it, Pete or Jack, but at least Granny knows that it is getting used quite a bit. Jack will "play" the piano while singing either Pop Goes the Weasel or Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
In the next couple of weeks we have a trip to Illinois and Kentucky in the works. We are going to a math conference and to visit my family. I think we will have lots more to write about then.

Jack is 2!
The above pictures are from Jack's birthday yesterday. Our big guy is 2!! We started the day by having french toast and opening presents. He got a coloring book and a movie. Then we went to church. After that we had nap time in our house. When Pete came back from studying he brought with him pizza--Jack had asked for pizza specifically. We watched his new movie and then he wanted to get in our bed with all of his blankets piled on top of him. After this we brought out the candles and the cheesecake for the birthday song portion of the day. He ate his piece but didn't demand more. I guess it wasn't as good this year. All and all it was a nice and relaxing birthday.
Friday he went to a friend's 3rd birthday and on Saturday he came with us as we ate fondue at a friend's house. They have a little tiny dog so Jack was very excited and entertained. So even though he had no party himself he had a fun filled weekend.
Today we went to the doctor's where we were told to come back in half a year to have him weighed again. Apparently our son does not weigh enough. However, I could have told you this. Otherwise, he completely impressed the doctor with his adult-like speaking ability as she put it. Way to go Jack!! Then he took her tool for checking his knee reflex and was able to do it on himself. She was again quite impressed that he hit it in just the right spot numerous times.
